What’s the difference between wheel bolts and wheel studs?
Most factory cars come with the form either wheel studs (such as Japanese-made cars) or wheel bolts (such as European-made cars). So, what’s the exact difference between wheel studs and wheel bolts?
Wheel studs with lug nuts are mostly used on Japanese-made cars (such as Honda, Toyota). The studs are mounted in the hub and protrude beyond the brake rotor hat.
