  2. We own a 2008 Vauxhall Vectra (Diesel). When taking off in first gear, the vehicle has little power and struggles to build speed until we change gear or accelerate for long enough. This also happens at around 60-70mph... theres just no speed. We have noticed that after filling the fuel tank to the top, the problem goes away. Im thinking fuel pump, injectors, filter maybe? This problem started after we went through a small flood and got a engine management light... water in the system? Or maybe because we didnt bleed the system after we ran out of fuel? Someone suggested the turbo however theres no strange sounds, noises, or smoke coming from the car. However i have noticed a string smell of fuel/emissions coming from the car while idle. Apart from this the car is perfect and everything is fine. Please help!
  3. I wonder if someone could advice me on this. Last week I bought a 'new' Vauxhall Grandland 1.6 Hybrid. The dealer offered it cheaper because it was registered from September yet it only had 9 miles on the clock. I should have collected last weekend but the dealer told me they could not give it to me because there have been some recalls on the vehicle and the software had to be updated. However they spent the whole day trying and the update was not going through so the Vauxhall dealer could not do it and they would need to call a Vauxhall engineer to come down and do it. I don't know anything about cars and would appreciate advice from those who do on the next points: 1/ Is it normal that a brand new vehicle has recalls even before leaving the dealer? 2/ Is it normal that the vehicle cannot be repaired by the own brand's dealer? 3/ I am right to be suspicious about a vehicle which has been registered since September yet has not been sold and now it seems to be having problems 4/ Could I get my money back if requested within the first 14 days of the purchase? I need my car to go to work and my job does not allow me to take days off sort notice under the current situation (essential worker) Thank you in advance
  4. Anyone know where about the reset button is on the Vauxhall Omega. It's a 2.2L engine Diesel. Won't start, diesel problem.
  5. After attempted theft this part has been broken off the steering column it is a vauxhall corsa, can some one tell me what this part is? Thanks.
  6. Hello, I own a vauxhall combo van 1.3 07 reg. I've been having trouble, where I accelerate to near 70, and the engine management light comes on and the vehicle runs in 'safe mode' where there is very little power and it's very sluggish. I was told it was a MAP sensor so I had it replace, but this did not fix the problem. I took it to two garages one told me I needed a new turbo which I questioned immediately. Another ran a diagnostic, and that it is the boost pressure sensor needed replacing and that will fix the problem, and the reason the other garage said replace the turbo was because they're too lazy to fit the pressure sensor. Is there anything else that could be causing the problem, and is my garage right to replace the pressure sensor? Thank you
