  1. I have a 2007 Honda Accord EX that I'm trying to improve performance and aesthetic-wise. What would you recommend I start (and continue) with? It's completely stock right now.
  2. Hello! I am attending a college 500 miles away from home and need a good car to make that trip a few times a year. In the winter the pass is snowy, so I am looking for something AWD, but still a sedan or hatchback (I also would prefer manual transmission if possible; I don't know how common those are now). The Subaru Impreza looks perfect for me, but they are expensive! Even ten year old models will run me $10,000. Is there any comparable car to that one that I could find for closer to 6 or 7000? Would an early 2000's Outback be reliable enough for me? Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated!
  3. Hi i’m new to the forum so i’m not really sure how this works but I need advice. I’m a 19 year old girl looking for a cheaper sporty awd sedan or hatch to drive back and forth from college in. I currently drive a 2015 equinox and let’s be real, it kinda sucks in the speed department. I would like something under $15 and it MUST be awd (we get bad weather pretty often where i’m from). It needs to be newer than 2011 because my dad worries about reliability in older cars. I’d also like it to be kind of higher end and pretty fast, I don’t intend to race it or anything but it would definitely be more fun. I’ve looked into the 2012-2014ish Audi a6 3.0T quattro and I really like it, would this be a good choice? Does anyone have any reccomendations? thank you!!
  4. Hey everyone. So I ordered a new Mazda 3 seatbelt for my 2005 Mazda 3. The problem is, when I pull on it to install it, it insta-locks in the retractor. Is this a default thing for new seatbelts? I know its not defective becuase I got a different seatbelt from a different Mazda dealer and the same thing happened. I am wondering if the mechanism is locked by default, and I have to release the retractor part? If it helps, the part number is BN8P57690A02. I am new to cars, so excuse my very badly worded description. Thank you for help!

  7. I'm looking to purchase a sedan in the coming weeks. I've narrowed it down to the vehicles below. I need some help making a final decision so please offer up your input. Thank you. Here's the parameters: Must be under $20,000 Must be a 4 door sedan Automatic preferred but manual okay Must be under 40,000 miles Black interior(cloth or leather) preferred Here's what I am considering: '16-'17 Accord Sport or EX I like the styling and they are super, super reliable and easy to repair. I don't like the lack of power and FWD. '15-'16 Mercedes Benz C Class Love the styling and interior. Decent power. Concerned about reliability and repair bills. '14-'16 BMW 3-Series Love the styling and interior. Decent power. Can get the AWD model for similar price to RWD. Concerned about reliability and repair bills. '14-'16 Audi A4 2.0T Premium Quattro Love the styling and interior. Decent power. Concerned about reliability, repair bills and electronics issues. '15-'16 Infinity Q50 Premium I like the styling. Plenty of power with the V6 motor. The interior kind of sucks. Reliable/proven Nissan motor. '16-'17 Cadillac ATS 2.0T AWD I like the exterior styling. Reliability is a slight concern but repairs shouldn't be as expensive as its European counterparts. A little underpowered, to get the V-spec you have to add about $20k and they are rare. Interior is so-so. Don't know if I should get the 4-cyl turbo or the 3.6L V6? I'd love to hear what you guys think? Or what you would personally choose if you were in my shoes. I'm also open to other suggestions as well. Thank you for your time and help.
  8. Hi I desperately need help choosing between 5 cars. First off. gas mileage and the price of the vehicle itself isn't a factor. Interior materials and things like that aren't issues for me either. However reliability and sportiness/power do matter to me. I have done my research and found 5 seemingly reliable cars/trucks that are sporty and that I like very much! PROBLEM IS... I CANT CHOOSE WHICH ONE TO BUY! I like how all of them drive and I like how all of them look! Each one has a major selling point to me and here they are: LEXUS IS300: tiptronic with sport mode and paddle shifting buttons that are fun to use. Also reliability from the 2jz engine. 0-60 in 7.4 seconds isn't bad at all. PONTIAC GRAND PRIX GTP SUPERCHARGED: LOVE LOVE LOVE the supercharger whine! The boost is addicting. Performance shift mode. I personally love how the car looks! 0-60 in 6.6 seconds. MAZDA 6s: nice reliable 3.0L V6 with the 5-speed shiftable automatic! Beautiful blue color with spoiler and "body kit" a website says 0-60 in 6.3 seconds. Infiniti G35 sedan: I like the fact that this car is essentially a Nissan 350z in a dress... 0-60 in 6.1 seconds Chevrolet Trailblazer: I understand that this is an oddball based on the group just given, however... This one is just a feel thing I've always liked the look and feel of the trailblazers but I've been looking more for a sporty car. 0-60 in 7.6 seconds. Any help would be appreciated! I just need someone's opinion who won't say "the Lexus because it's a nicer car" I would appreciate some good solid reasons based in reliability and performance. Thanks again! -Alex
  9. I currently own a 1998 Chevrolet Prizm with a trunk that is dented in due to an accident. The dent isn't bad enough to make the trunk lid not functional but it is no longer waterproof and leaks into the cab after a hefty amount of rainfall, which is something I would like to get replaced. I found a 2000 Chevy Prizm in the inventory of a local pull-a-part and was wondering if anybody knew if the trunk lid from the '00 would fit the '98. I am pretty confident that it will fit because I checked the specs on both years and the cargo space was exactly the same on both but if there is a difference, I would like to know before I went down there to check it out. Thanks!
  10. I am about to buy my first new car. I've owned 3 used cars in the past (only one bought from a dealer). I live in Alaska so all wheel drive is a must. I'm wondering if anyone has any suggestions for me for the most fuel efficient buy that will fit these options. AWD sedan, SUV or crossover under $30,000 >30 combined MPG The most promising one I've come across so far is the Subaru XV Crosstrek. Thank you!
  11. Hi guys, I'm looking at getting my first car for uni and adding better speakers. So my first question is: Ute vs Sedan? I'm trying to decide between going for a 2011 Holden SV6 Ute or the 2011 Holden Commodore SV6 sedan. I just can't decide which to go for however my next question may decide it. Car Audio; firstly, can you install subwoofers in a 2011 Holden SV6 ute? if so what are some decent subs? I know quite a lot in regards to pro audio however I'm a little unsure when it comes to car audio. My budget for audio is around $1000-$1500 One final thing, your probably all going to jump up and down at me saying that a bad car for my first car at uni however i have to regularly drive between Melbourne, Canberra, Sydney and Cairns - up to 1200km at a time and also i have access to very very cheap finance from the government due to joining the defence force. Cheers for any help guys Chris
