  1. Do you think that the car community/hooning culture is over represented in accident statistics? Why? What would you say in defense? What is more prevalent and why do you think we hear about it less? Im writing a research paper and would really appreciate some input!
  2. HI, I'm trying to demonstrate the performance increase that can be obtained by using nitinol vibration dampers. Our research group believes that by using nitinol as a vibration damper, vibrations can be reduced or eliminated from the wheels, axle components, engine, transmission, and drive shaft. For this reason, we're looking for highly competitive drivers who are interested in partaking in a research project to see how much performance can be gained by using nitinol in these applications. If you're interested, please let me know so I can send you more information. We have conducted numerous research projects with customers around the globe, eliminating vibrations from all sorts of products. The huge advantage that nitinol has over other vibration dampers is that it is structurally as strong as titanium. This allows us to put it into high strength applications and keep everything from moving around. For an explanation of what nitinol is: www.KelloggsResearchLabs.com Joe
  3. Hi all I just installed a Progress sway bar on my Acura RSX. I also upgrade my end links to hotchkis endlinks,. I only have so much time and money but I am curious as to what would be the next best handling performance upgrades I should pursue in preparing my car for Autocross this July. Here are possibilities: Tien Coilovers, upgraded Control arms 18 inch wheels with a good summer tire strut brace Please help me see what the highest priority is to the least Thanks and if there is somtething that I missed. Thanks, -Hotwheels
  4. I am working on custom vehicle physics wrapper for games. As a test subject I've taken Koenigsegg CCX. I am comparing my wrapper's results to real-life ones. I've run at 2 problems. One of them is suspension forces and second one is height of CG. I am using Bullet physics for my game, but I have created custom gravity setup to simulate downforce and weight transfer. For suspension I use basic PID(proportional-integral-derative) controller. So my questions are: What is spring rate and damper strength of stock suspension of Koenigsegg CCX? Best would be answer in kN. How high is CCX's centre of gravity from it's wheelbase? Best would be answer in cm or m. Thank you for your advices!

While you process that, let me tell you about our plans for the 2015 Dream Builders Car Show. Our goal this year is to raise $20,000 for BBBS, doubling last year’s fundraising efforts. This year we will be giving out 100 awards with classes for any and every type of vehicle, including multiple classes for various Motorcycles, Cars Pre 1930’s through 2015, Exotics, Muscle, Grocery Getters, Rat Rods, Off Road, Semi Trucks, and Tractors…just to name a few. Be sure to purchase raffle tickets from our Prize Raffle and 50/50 Raffle! And just before we hand out the awards, make your way up to the grandstands to watch Motorcycles and Cars battle it out in our Loudest Engine contest, followed up by our tire shredding Burnout Contest! Not sold yet? Let me tell you about the driving force behind why this show will one day be one of the largest, most anticipated summer events in the Pacific Northwest. For the majority of my life, my father has been absent. When I was 8 years old, my mom enrolled me in Big Brothers Big Sisters, a non-profit organization that matches at risk youth with responsible adult mentors, forming in most cases, life long relationships that will help shape these children into adults that will one day plan charity car shows to raise money for charity…Ok maybe not all of them, but the impact these adult volunteers have on these kids cannot be quantified in words. At the age of 10, I was matched with Rich, my “Big Brother”. For the last 21 years, Rich has been more than just a “Big Brother”. While most kids look to dad for fatherly advice and guidance, I looked to Rich. Without BBBS and the match they created, I would not be the man I am today. A man who will forever be indebted to BBBS, and will do whatever it takes to raise funds for this organization, so other kids like me have the same opportunity in life. Hope to see you all there!!! 8. This is for around 86 to 89 style of cars. I've always liked the mustang gt body style but I love the high end 350's. What do you think?
  9. Sky Tyne and Wear has been given a unique insight into the boy racer scene across Tyne and Wear. The late night cruising culture of the boy racers has come under fire from people including those that think they make to much noise, to the police, who keep a close eye on car meets and the region's roads. But the drivers defended themselves, saying there was more to their passion than disturbing the peace with a souped up hatchback. 10. I am looking on some advice on ways to get myself into karting. Basically, I have only ever been out in rental karts but absolutely love the experience. Me and my 2 brothers always seem to end up at the front of the few 'Pay £40/£50 grand prix format' that we occasionally pay for at our local tracks. We normally turn up and join in races involving between 15-20 people. Then again, there may be nothing in this as they may all be doing it for fun but it feels good This led to me taking part in the Red Bull Kart Fight, a few months ago now, and I managed to get through to the Final Heat of the Regional Finals. I was pushed off the track in the final heat but I guess that's down to my inexperience. Anyway, I love the idea of getting onto the track so any help/advice would be much appreciated!! Cheers!!
  11. This isn't a final version; some defects in statistics are possible to be found All Information about "Moscow Unlim 500+" race event . bet who won!
