Recently I got a 2006 Nissan 350z (Enthusiast trim) with 250,000 miles (mostly highway). The previous owner was quite the stoner, judging by what we found in the various interior compartments during its first detail. After checking around the car, I noticed that the previous owner, let's call him Chad, had installed an aftermarket audio system and subwoofer. Great right? Who doesn't love getting a little extra in their investments? Well, let's just say that Chad was probably high as a kite when he installed this system. The first thing we noticed was that the subwoofer was set to take all frequencies of audio, not just the low ones. In case you didn't know, subwoofers are specifically designed to handle and play the lower sounds in your music. Alright, we said, maybe that was a little dumb but it isn't a huge deal and we can just fix it real quick. Well, as I was finishing up the installation of my first mod (a CAI) we noticed that something looked a little off by the battery. The wiring for the audio system, to be exact. When we took a look at the wires we found a fuse on the negative wire and absolutely nothing on the positive wire. Anyone who has basic electrical knowledge would know just how wrong that is. I was shocked to find out that I had been driving around with such a dangerous fire hazard under my hood. If something had gone wrong with the wiring there would have been absolutely nothing to prevent my car from bursting into flames. I wish I had taken a picture! Of course, we fixed it and all is right now, but man that was something...

If the so-called most dominant SUV in the country is Toyota Fortuner, the Nissan Terra seems a powerful and truck-based item offering certain features that the Fortuner doesn’t. Which is the better SUV? To answer that question, let’s get this Nissan Terra vs Fortuner comparison with Philkotse! As to size, the Nissan Terra is the wider and longer one, sharing the same height with the Fortuner and acquiring a higher ground clearance for better off-roading. In terms of styling, though both SUVs sport bold presence, the Fortuner looks much sleeker and modern in contrast with the Terra with more brusque aesthetics. When regarding seating, both SUVs can comfortably accommodate seven people on leather-clad seats. Particularly, the second-row seats on the Nissan Terra can be folded down with a simple push of a button for easily accessing the third row. Meanwhile, the top-spec Fortuner has ability to load large items. In terms of safety features, both the Toyota Fortuner and the Nissan Terra appear evenly matched, with a similar complement of airbags and ISOFIX anchors. Specifically, the Fortuner anti-lock brakes, traction control and trailer sway control. Meanwhile, the Nissan Terra 2020 appears with the Nissan Intelligent Mobility suite that includes hill start assist, hill descent control, and a lane departure warning system for greater off-road ability Above are some brief information of the two models, let’s gain more specific details about price and specifications right via the comparison the Nissan Terra vs Toyota Fortuner !

Do you think that the car community/hooning culture is over represented in accident statistics? Why? What would you say in defense? What is more prevalent and why do you think we hear about it less? Im writing a research paper and would really appreciate some input!

Hi, my name is Jack and I have just turned 17 and am going to be buying a car soon. I am considering either a VW Golf or Mitsubishi Colt (I'm not sure which just yet). When I get a car I would love to modify it. However, I'm struggling to find a job to pay for parts, so whilst I look for one I'm trying to make a little money to go towards the modifications. I just set up this store on redbubble.com called Jaxx Apparel (I'll attach a link) and it would be great if you saw this and bought something from the store so I can raise enough for a few mods! Right now it is just JDM car designs on there but if you would like to suggest something that isn't on the store please go ahead and do so and I may add a design based on your suggestion. There are all sorts of products ranging from T-shirts to stickers to shower curtains 😂. If this works I might make an Instagram page dedicated to my journey. Also if anyone is willing to help me in improving my understanding of cars please let me know and I'll add you on Instagram or something. Thanks for reading and I hope you consider helping me out.😁 Some examples of what the store offers are attached. Store Adress: http://www.redbubble.com/people/jaxxapparel

Have you ever considered between Nissan Terra vs Montero Sport? Though the Nissan Terra is relatively new to the Philippine mid-size SUV segment, it still stands out while the Mitsubishi Montero Sport is rising to fame. Now let’s find out which one is worth selecting! Based on figures, the Nissan Terra is significantly larger in almost all categories, which is 100 mm longer, 50 mm wider and has 30 mm more height, a longer wheelbase by around 50 mm as well as a higher ground clearance. Nonetheless, the smaller Montero Sport is actually considered as one of the best handling mid-size SUVs. With its generous ground clearance, Nissan Terra is a winner in terms of off-roading capabilities. In short, if you have to pass through rough and sketchy roads on a regular basis, go for the Terra. Otherwise, choose the Mitsubishi Montero Sport for paved roads. As for looks, that’s up to you. The Terra is brusque and utilitarian, and tough-looking while the new Montero Sport GT is futuristic and elegant. By and large, the two top of the line variants sports the same amount of interior features. The Nissan Terra 2019 though has a larger touchscreen that comes with Apple CarPlay and Android auto whereas the Montero Sport has a smaller 6.7-inch unit. Especially, the Montero Sport GT comes with a sunroof. In terms of safety, both of these models have curtain airbags, side airbags, and dual front airbags. Now let’s check out which one is the better of two performance cars. In terms of exterior, the GT-R is vastly different than the Mustang. The Nissan GT-R is a modern marvel of engineering while the model Ford Mustang is a powerful nod to the classic muscle cars of the 60’s. My dad and I replaced the left front CV axle on my 2009 Nissan Rogue SL last night. After getting everything put back together and taking it for a test drive, there is a thumping like noise coming from the left front that gets worse the faster you go. Also, when putting it in park it makes a grinding like noise and coasts backwards. It is an automatic transmission.

Hey guys so i’m in a bit of a dilemma I am planning on buying a 2012 Nissan either Maxima or Altima. Both cars are the same price but the Atlima’s headlight is broken, however it does have only a 150,000 kms on it compared to the Maxima I am looking at which has 195,000 kms. Both are fully loaded and all but I’m just debating which one to buy I like the fuel effiency of the Altima more but I don’t want to have to wait 2 weeks to get the light and tiny crack (tiniest crack below the headlight) on the bumper fixed. So I ask you guys for your advice which one do you think I should buy?

Hey! I have a 2012 Nissan rouge AWD. About a month ago I noticed my car making a gurgling/grinding noise with initial acceleration. If I hit the gas really hard the noise goes away till I let up on the gas again. When parked and hitting the gas the car does not make this noise. At the same time we noticed that the boot was torn on the right upper CV axle so we ordered the part to fix it. We fixed it last Friday along with the rear left CV axle (it was knocking). But the noise is still there. The gas mileage is getting worse steadily and I notice that when I drive other cars now I have a heavy foot so that leads me to believe there may be some minor power loss with the noise. We have a baby coming in January and trying to get the car ready for her or buy something new if needed. Any ideas would be great!

Microsoft is rebooting its push to sell software for cars with a new set of programs and services in a bid to keep up with rivals such as Google and Apple that are expanding in auto technology. "We're not getting into self-driving cars ourselves but we can be an important element of it by providing the platform," said Microsoft's business development chief Peggy Johnson, in an interview. The Renault-Nissan alliance signed an agreement in September with Microsoft to work on car technology. The companies said Thursday that Renault-Nissan will be the first customer for Microsoft's Connected Vehicle Platform, which provides carmakers with a set of services built on Microsoft's Azure cloud.
