  2. 2015 Dream Builders Car Show- The 2015 Dream Builders Car Show will be held August 9th, 2015 at the Evergreen Speedway in Monroe Washington, with all proceeds going to Big Brothers Big Sisters of Snohomish County! Last year was our first annual show, and we had 240 cars, 2500 people in attendance throughout the day, and raised $10,386 for BBBS!! In our first year!!!! While you process that, let me tell you about our plans for the 2015 Dream Builders Car Show. Our goal this year is to raise $20,000 for BBBS, doubling last year’s fundraising efforts. This year we will be giving out 100 awards with classes for any and every type of vehicle, including multiple classes for various Motorcycles, Cars Pre 1930’s through 2015, Exotics, Muscle, Grocery Getters, Rat Rods, Off Road, Semi Trucks, and Tractors…just to name a few. When we say we have a class for everything, we mean it! So you’re at the show, you’ve seen all of the cars, and you’re feet are tired. Time to go? NOPE!! Take a seat in the grandstands and watch cars rip down the 1/8th mile drag strip! If you’re 21 years or older, you can head to the Speedway Beer Garden for an Ice cold brew, with only a fence separating you and your friends from the starting line! Ears pounding from the roaring motors? Soothe your soul with the sweet sound of classic rock and roll performed by a live band, and played by our DJ! By now your feet are probably ready to get back out there and check out our Sponsors and Vendors on Vendors Row, showcasing area businesses and entrepreneurs who have generously opened their hearts and wallets in support of our cause. Be sure to purchase raffle tickets from our Prize Raffle and 50/50 Raffle! And just before we hand out the awards, make your way up to the grandstands to watch Motorcycles and Cars battle it out in our Loudest Engine contest, followed up by our tire shredding Burnout Contest! Not sold yet? Let me tell you about the driving force behind why this show will one day be one of the largest, most anticipated summer events in the Pacific Northwest. For the majority of my life, my father has been absent. When I was 8 years old, my mom enrolled me in Big Brothers Big Sisters, a non-profit organization that matches at risk youth with responsible adult mentors, forming in most cases, life long relationships that will help shape these children into adults that will one day plan charity car shows to raise money for charity…Ok maybe not all of them, but the impact these adult volunteers have on these kids cannot be quantified in words. At the age of 10, I was matched with Rich, my “Big Brother”. For the last 21 years, Rich has been more than just a “Big Brother”. While most kids look to dad for fatherly advice and guidance, I looked to Rich. Without BBBS and the match they created, I would not be the man I am today. A man who will forever be indebted to BBBS, and will do whatever it takes to raise funds for this organization, so other kids like me have the same opportunity in life. Hope to see you all there!!!
