Mr. Vuong The Trung, an American overseas Vietnamese in New York, with his wife and 2 children, was present at VinFast's booth early. He shared that he had heard information about VinFast before, but this was the first time experiencing an electric car in Vietnam. This customer expressed a special impression of the intelligent virtual assistant on the VF 8. “This will be my next car”, this person said.

Why haven't they come up with a means of charging as long as the vehicle is moving? Some sort of charger that attaches to the rotating assembly to keep the batteries charged as you drive the vehicle down the highway, thus increasing the range indefinitely.

I'm not really keen on the Asian auto industry since China has released too many cars and EVs in recent years, and they have nothing but the same designs and profiles coming from other brands. But VinFast actually got me to look at their EVs. They have their own signature designs for all their SUVs. It's what people in the US are looking for. If you look at their US marketing, you can tell they are taking this seriously. It looks like VinFast is the second Asian country (after China) that putting considerable effort into the American market. What makes it a little bit harder, while China's EVs usually have low prices, the VF 9 asking price is close to a Telsa Model Y. Carscoop said the VF 9 starts at $56,000 / €49,280 for the Eco and at $61,000 / €53,413 for the Plus (not include taxes or EV tax incentives). VinFast is offering a 10-year / 124,000-mile warranty. They've already had more than 24,000 pre-orders for the VF 8 and VF 9. What do you guys think?

Hi All, I am currently in my final year of university. I am studying Business and Marketing at Coventry University. As part of my final year, I am tasked with creating a dissertation project. I have chosen to research and provide solutions for electric car usage for automotive organisations. The survey that I have created is to help understand consumer beliefs on electric vehicle performance, the infrastructure that supports electric vehicles and specific car app usage. The title of my dissertation is ‘To Identify and Provide Solutions to the Challenge That Automotive Organisations Face Marketing New Electric Powered Vehicles Against Existing Petrol/Diesel Powered Vehicles to UK Consumers Who Are 40-55 Years Old’. The survey is designed for people with all varying levels of knowledge on electric vehicles. To take part you must over 18, living in the UK and accept the statement and conditions at the beginning. The survey will take approximately 5 minutes to complete and will help to provide valuable insights into a very contemporary issue. This is the link to the survey: Daniel Ovenden Dissertation Survey - Electric Vehicles Thank you in advance. Dan

A new SMALL Electric Smart Car From Mercedes, the Smart EQ ForFour city car is now fully electric and much Cheaper Than Tesla, if you can even compare these two and you properly can't because Tesla is not making small affordable cars like this SMART. Anyway this car will appeal to a lot of people and will compete with VW ID Crozz EV. and Nissan Leaf, that said it is the smallest of these three, but also the best city car. What do you think? Here is a recent video from Germany: (click on video to see it smaller)

Geely recently revealed a set of photos of its all-new all-electric sedan model code-named GE11. As the automaker's first BEV model targeting global market, the new model is expected to go on sale in the first quarter this year. According to the published photos, the GE11 adopts a trendy closed-off grille, which is typically used for all-electric models. Both high beam and dipped headlights are integrated into headlamps. The sleek LED daytime running lights coupled with three paralleled light bars look quite futuristic. Besides, on the hood is a protruding U-shaped line that is able to lower the air resistance by directing air to both sides of the vehicle body, therefore elevate the battery range.

With the highly-anticipated 2014 F1 season now in full swing and the new technology proving both good in the performance/entertainment aspects and bad in the loss of the wailing engines of past, my thoughts went to the technology that will transfer onto the next generation of electric cars. I wrote a short piece on the future of electric vehicles and wanted to know where you guys stand on the petrol vs. electricity debate. Plug N Play Driving

Hello Car Forums, I am a student at the University of Illinois at Chicago and am hoping to take a moment of your time so that you may fill out a survey for me. The survey is for my Brand Management course and I am in need of responses. The focus is on Tesla Motors, however, there are questions concerning other car brands. The survey is less than 50 questions and should take about 5-10 minutes to complete. https://uic.qualtrics.com/SE/?SID=SV_5yFjoCOczW0AcU5 Thank you to all that complete the survey.
