  1. Mr. Vuong The Trung, an American overseas Vietnamese in New York, with his wife and 2 children, was present at VinFast's booth early. He shared that he had heard information about VinFast before, but this was the first time experiencing an electric car in Vietnam. This customer expressed a special impression of the intelligent virtual assistant on the VF 8. “This will be my next car”, this person said.
  2. Why haven't they come up with a means of charging as long as the vehicle is moving? Some sort of charger that attaches to the rotating assembly to keep the batteries charged as you drive the vehicle down the highway, thus increasing the range indefinitely.
  3. I'm not really keen on the Asian auto industry since China has released too many cars and EVs in recent years, and they have nothing but the same designs and profiles coming from other brands. But VinFast actually got me to look at their EVs. They have their own signature designs for all their SUVs. It's what people in the US are looking for. If you look at their US marketing, you can tell they are taking this seriously. It looks like VinFast is the second Asian country (after China) that putting considerable effort into the American market. What makes it a little bit harder, while China's EVs usually have low prices, the VF 9 asking price is close to a Telsa Model Y. Carscoop said the VF 9 starts at $56,000 / €49,280 for the Eco and at $61,000 / €53,413 for the Plus (not include taxes or EV tax incentives). VinFast is offering a 10-year / 124,000-mile warranty. They've already had more than 24,000 pre-orders for the VF 8 and VF 9. What do you guys think?
  4. Hi All, I am currently in my final year of university. I am studying Business and Marketing at Coventry University. As part of my final year, I am tasked with creating a dissertation project. I have chosen to research and provide solutions for electric car usage for automotive organisations. The survey that I have created is to help understand consumer beliefs on electric vehicle performance, the infrastructure that supports electric vehicles and specific car app usage. The title of my dissertation is ‘To Identify and Provide Solutions to the Challenge That Automotive Organisations Face Marketing New Electric Powered Vehicles Against Existing Petrol/Diesel Powered Vehicles to UK Consumers Who Are 40-55 Years Old’. The survey is designed for people with all varying levels of knowledge on electric vehicles. To take part you must over 18, living in the UK and accept the statement and conditions at the beginning. The survey will take approximately 5 minutes to complete and will help to provide valuable insights into a very contemporary issue. This is the link to the survey: Daniel Ovenden Dissertation Survey - Electric Vehicles Thank you in advance. Dan
