Off-roading is every Jeep owner’s dream, but what happens when you go off-road after dark? Suddenly, all of the street lights and another lighting around you is gone, and you must rely on the lighting on your vehicle to light your way. Unfortunately, the lighting that comes standard on most vehicles is not sufficient, and you will need to add additional lighting. But where do you add it? What lighting should you choose? How much power do you need? Type of Light Bulbs for Off-Road Lighting No matter which type of off-road light you’re installing, you need to ensure that it is the right type of bulb for the application. Here are some of the bulbs to consider. · Halogen off-road Light – Halogen off-road lights are the oldest type of light bulbs available. Because they were the only option for many years, many people still use them, but this is the least efficient option. These lights place quite a bit of stress on your vehicle’s electrical system and should be used sparingly, such as for one or two flood lights. · LED off-road Light – LED bulbs has a low amp draw and long projected lifespan, and these two features have made this an incredibly popular off-road light. These lights use two lead semiconductors as their light source. These lights use 75 percent less energy than equivalent halogen lights and can last five times as long because they are shock and water proof. They are also quite bright, giving a crisp illumination in even the darkest of situations.

Hi there, I have a 1992 Jeep Cherokee XJ that has had the engine swapped for what I think is a 1995 Cherokee Engine that is the 6 cylinder variant. I have the automatic transmission. I think it is the 3 speed but I am not quite sure. When I got it, it would start but quickly sputter out unless I floored it. I then discovered it had a leaky line from the transmission to the radiator. I then quickly fixed this line with hose clamps and such. I dumped around 1.5 gallons of transmission fluid in and it was able to run and stay running, although in a very rough state. I got it drivable and noticed that past 1500 RPM, the transmission would slip. I added another gallon and now the transmission can get up to around 3000 RPM before slipping. I also notice that when I start the car, it idles very rough for around 5 seconds while in park and then smooths out. When I shift into reverse or forward drive, it idles rough again. Sometimes when I filled the transmission too quickly the overflow valve would let a little fluid out. I let the car sit and then I could keep pouring. I should also note that the transmission was filled while the vehicle was off and then I would run it for a while. At this point it still slips and while the vehicle runs, I don't know if adding more fluid is the solution as I think there is around 3.5 gallons of transmission fluid in the system right now. The more I add the less it seems to slip, but should I keep adding more? Is there a different solution?

Jeep Brand Director Provides Update on Production and Deliveries -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Jeep brand director, Scott Tallon, told the media at the Detroit Auto Show that the Gladiator is on schedule to hit showrooms by the end of June. This is slightly later than most JGF users have been expecting, but we now have a more up-to-date estimate of when to expect the Gladiator on dealer lots, and soon after, on- and off-road!

Hello! My parents are looking for a car they can flat tow behind their RV. We went out yesterday and drove a few different vehicles and have it narrowed down to the Jeep Wrangler or Cherokee, Ford Ranger or Chevy Colorado. My dad and I really liked the Wrangler and my mom is undecided. We know Jeep tends to have a bad rap for reliability, but I'm just wondering if it's really something to be concerned about and get some input/suggestions on what people like and have heard or experienced with any of these cars. We are wanting a smaller truck or SUV. We looked at 2020's but are open to lightly used ones as well, but nothing older than about 2017. Any advice or thoughts would be greatly appreciated and if I forgot any info, just ask and I'll do my best to provide the answers! Lol Thank you!

I have been having overheating issues with my 2005 HEMI Jeep Grand Cherokee (113K Miles) for as long as I can remember. The dealer told me time and time again that these SUV's just run hot. I replaced the Radiator and Thermostat and noticed very little improvement. I tried every Antifreeze/Coolant out there with little success! A friend of mine recommended a Coolant Additive from a Company called Nano Pro MT called NANO COOL. It cost $17.99 via their eBay Store ( https://www.ebay.com/itm/100-Authentic-Nano-Pro-MT-NANO-Cool-Antifreeze-Coolant-Additive-Brand-New-2020/164024870872?hash=item2630a4e7d8:g:NmgAAOSw3~ZeHKBV) and came in a 16oz Bottle! I flushed the Radiator put new Coolant in along with The Nano Cool Additive. The following day I put about 25 miles on the Jeep in heavy Rush Hour Traffic and was amazed with the result. My temperature gauge averaged 9-10 degrees cooler and the Temp gauge never got close to the "Danger Zone" . I am going on 2 weeks and 300+ miles on the same bottle on Nano Cool mixed with my regular Coolant and the engine temp is the same as the day I added the Nano Cool! I was very skeptical in the beginning however, now I swear by this stuff and purchased a Full Case and a few of their other products from their eBay Store ( https://www.ebay.com/usr/nanopromt). They also have excellent customer service and answered all of my questions promptly. I thought I would share this Hidden Gem in case anyone else out there is having overheating issues with their vehicle! I have attached pictures I pulled from their website! The company looks to be pretty serious on the Racing Scene and connected to Roush Performance! Happy New Year, Cheers, Chris

I have a 2004 grand cherokee Limited4.7L v8, I just recently bought this car off Craigslist, and it’s giving me hell! My break light and Abs light come on and off, usually when I rev the engine, and when I start the car some loud noises come from the sound system, however, the lights do not show on the radio. I took it into auto zone to get the alternator check and they told me that the vultage regulator is providing too much load on the battery. Could this be the answer to why I’m getting warning lights and sound problems? The odometer keeps disappearing as well. Its giving the batter 17.5v

Hello, I spotted two spanking new Grand Cherokees. Its been a long time the new Jeeps have been spotted testing and all. I think they are going to launch the Brand by Diwali. SO actually, even though Jeep comes to formally for the first time, I would rather say that the Jeep name is returning to after 20 yrs i.e. when Fiat asked Mahindra and Mahiindra to drop the Jeep name from their utility vehicles citing brand copyright after tehy acquired it in the starting 90s ! Thanks About Me: I'm new in this forum, I am a consultant and have worked with multiple firms You can check Animated sales video Examples, one of my work.

Hi, I'm trying to decide for a car to lease in Saudi Arabia (very hot weather) between two cars for a three years lease. It's between the 2014 Jeep Grand Cherokee Over Land, or the 2013 Toyota Land Cruiser GXR3, MR, V8, 4x4, AT. Gas price is not a concern, and I may use the car for offroading once in a while in the desert. No family so size isn't an issue too. So I'm leaning towards the Jeep as I love the way it looks but I wish I could affoard the V8.

I am a teenager, looking for a used either SUV, truck or sedan(Preferably a SUV or truck). I have up to $35k but I would love to keep it under $32k. I live in the Northeast so it needs to have AWD or 4WD. Also I don't like Asian cars, I just don't think they look nice. Reliability is not really an issue. Mostly looking for a car with good looks and good features. I've been mostly looking at 2012-2014 Grand Cherokees, Explorers and F-150s.

I own a 1992 Jeep Wrangler that I'm currently trying to fix up. A major problem is that my the gauges and lights on my dashboard don't work correctly. My MPH and RPM gauges work fine, but my gas gauge and the three gauges next to it don't. they just sit at about a 1/4 full. Also the lights on my dashboard don't turn on when my headlights are on. So like when I'm driving at night with my headlights on my dashboard is pitch black. The lights have come on randomly before, but then don't work again the next time i drive with my headlights. Can anyone tell me how to fix these problems to help me on the path to getting my car like new again? Thank you!

I have been looking at both of these cars, and want a serious review of each and which one would be best and most reliable after the 20ish years off of the production line. I would only be driving the car around the area in which I live, so not very long distances. Thank You!
