  1. Ok so, I have a 2009 holden cruze. The headunit (radio) started turning off a few months back by itself till it came to a point where it doesn't work at all. I've looked online for a answer to what it might be. Came back with check the fuses which I have and it seems perfectly fine and then I got another answer where a lot of people are changing the negative battery cable as its a fault from the manufacturer. The problem is, I cant seem to find where I could buy the negative battery cable anywhere for the 2009 model. only the 2011-2015 is available. Ive searched everywhere on the net. as a side note to this issue, If I disconnect the radio from the back and plug it back in, it works for a short period before going back to not working. Does anyone have any suggestions on where I could find this part and or have had a similar issue to of what I have.
  2. Hey guys, my first post here. I have a few questions about repairs to my old 94 Holden Barina. First, in the glove box is a Holden sticker saying after market aircon was installed and to quote a certain number for parts. There is no button for said aircon, and im fairly sure there is no aircon unit under the hood, but im not sure exactly what it SHOULD look like. Second is the road noise is unbearable. I'm fairly sure the struts are dead, but as a student there is very little money I can put in to the car, so is there a way to fix them up and rebuild them without forking out a few hundred I dont have? Thirdly, its just a 1.2L c12nz engine, naturally aspirated. Is there anything I can do to tune it up a bit, or a slightly bigger engine that I could buy or something for it? Current 0-100 time is like... 30 seconds to a full minute. Its tragic. Any input advice or... well, anything really wpuld be appreciated. -Tom
  3. Hi guys, I'm looking at getting my first car for uni and adding better speakers. So my first question is: Ute vs Sedan? I'm trying to decide between going for a 2011 Holden SV6 Ute or the 2011 Holden Commodore SV6 sedan. I just can't decide which to go for however my next question may decide it. Car Audio; firstly, can you install subwoofers in a 2011 Holden SV6 ute? if so what are some decent subs? I know quite a lot in regards to pro audio however I'm a little unsure when it comes to car audio. My budget for audio is around $1000-$1500 One final thing, your probably all going to jump up and down at me saying that a bad car for my first car at uni however i have to regularly drive between Melbourne, Canberra, Sydney and Cairns - up to 1200km at a time and also i have access to very very cheap finance from the government due to joining the defence force. Cheers for any help guys Chris
