Hey everyone,
I was doing some checks on my 1992 4runner today, due to a clunking sound whilst turning over bumps, but other than the bushings which are completely fried, all other parts (Shocks, control arms, leaf springs/shac kles, sway bar etc) seem to be perfectly fine. However, I noticed some differences in the lower ball joints as seen in the attached photos.
The right ball joint boot seems to be super-compressed compared to that of the right, and the components resting above seem to be at an angle?
I am no mechanic in any sense and was wondering if there appears to be any problems with the left (or right) ball joints which could explain the clunking and need fixing.
Thanks.
