  6. Hi all, I've got an F80 M4 on order and am already considering what to do to it when it gets delivered. I've found this company through Google: http://www.mulgari.com/bmw-m3-m4-tuningand spoke to them the other day. They seem to know what they're doing and even put me in touch with someone they'd just installed a similar system for. I was just wondering if anyone here has any experience with Akrapovic parts, ideally exhausts. Are they as good as everyone seems to think? It's not like they're cheap (at all) so I want to be sure I'm making the right decision. Thanks in advance for any help.

  8. Hi everybody, My name is Artashez and very new in this forum and this is my first post. I recently bought a BMW Z3 1999 year. Is there anyone who drives this model of BMW? My wheel is little hard to turn (Well, i was driving a toyota yaris before this car and I'm not sure if I'm use to the old car) and I feel the hydraulic is not in the way it suppose to be. Does anyone ever had such an issue as mine? and where do you think its causing from? (I mean which part of car I have too look into) Considering that its a luxury car, its quite expensive if I take the car just for a checkup to BMW showroom and I live in middle east and you must know how they charge for cars and repairs. So I wanna find out if this is normal or the car is having issue. Any opinion is appreciated. Thanks in advance Arta

  10. im a new driver and im looking for cars. iminterested in getting something cool and sporty looking, but that is difficult for guy my age. so far ive been looking at subaru impreza's, BMW 3series, and volkswagen golf gti's and jetta's. so far i have found a few i like but im unsure on how the insurance would be on them. my parents say that the insurance agency (State Farm) will charge alot for a two door car or if it has "sport" or anything to do with being sporty or some what fast. so far i have found a local 2003 VW golf GTI VR6, this BMW 325ci http://www.cars.com/...49924/overview/ and this Subaru impreza 2.5 rs http://www.cars.com/...12456/overview/ so im pretty much asking what would be the best deal for a kid my age insurance wise and what would be "cool" for someone my age? thanks,
  11. Hi, my Oldsmobile recently exploded forcing me to look for a new car. I'm looking for something very cheap that isn't going to collapse within seconds. Two cars I'm looking at nearby are a 1996 Honda Civic DX and a 1986 BMW 325e. Both are going for $1000 which seems suspiciously cheap to me from what I've heard about both these cars. The Honda needs a tune up and a tps sensor but otherwise both are allegedly in pretty good shape, both have around 125,000 miles. What I'm wondering is What is the cost for repairs on both cars (I've heard BMWs are pretty expensive)? What is the reliability? Do these prices seem to be about right for cars in fair shape? Are these gas guzzlers? I'm going to have my mechanic look at it before making a decision but I just thought I'd ask. Thanks to anyone for the help.
  12. I'm going to get my first car soon and I'm looking for either a BMW, Honda, Lexus, or Mazda and I wanted to know which years each company has had its best year and its worst year. From the years of 1996 - 2001, so I can decide which car I want to pick. All feedback is appreciated.
  13. This is my first post on this forum; in fact, I made an account just so I could ask this question. I've been looking to buy a new car recently, and I want a true driver's car. The 911 is obviously a classic and remains the front runner for best driver's car of the past few decades. Yet, the price premium to buy a new 911 puts it out of my price range. I found a used 2010 Carrera Cab with about 40K miles on it and it is priced just under 50K. It seems too good to be true, but there is a valid Car Fax on it and multiple listings on various websites for that same car. Now, if I were to buy a brand new 328i, I could load it up pretty well and pay 45-47K on it. The 328i has a lot more technology and options available than the used Carrera. What should I do? Go for the Carrera or play it safe with a new 328i? How much of the disparity is there in performance in the two?

  16. Hey guys this is my first post on the forums, I look forward to getting to know some of you guys and hearing your responses. So anyways, here is my problem. My first car is a 2006 Nissan Altima 2.5S Special Edition, and while its a great first car, I just want something I could work on and make my own really. Recently, there have been many cars popping up around my area for sale that are of equal value of the car, around $5500. I have been trying to persuade my parents to allow me to trade this Altima, which has been completely paid off, for a 1998 BMW M3 which is for sale for $5000. The BMW has less miles, and would be much more fun to drive daily. Any thoughts of how I could make a valid argument as to why the trade would be a good idea? Thanks in advance. -Tim
  17. I am planning to buy a used car from dealer with a budget around $14k. It's going to be my commuter/daily car. Gas saver not really my target, but at least the engine is not more than 3.0. I'm really interested with BMW 328i, which is with my budget I will get year 2007(I prefer this year body than 2012). I loved all the features on that car and totally satisfied with all the interiors(leather seat, split seat version, mp3 aux, moon roof, and sound system), so I'm not going to modify anything once I got the car, because I'm a male 26yr old who care about style. But what I'm worried is I never had any experience of BMW series, even ride the car. I have no idea how much money I'm going to spend for maintenance and how much for any part replacement(I believed it will be expensive). But I'm kind of "clean car person". And if I buy this car, I will take care my car just like my lovely girlfriend. I also believed BMW has a very good handling and I'm not gonna disappointed. I need a price range how much I will spend for the maintenance/year. My second thoughts is Toyota Prius. I pick this car because it has a really gas saver and because of Toyota, I believe it has a pretty low maintenance also. And with my budget, I will get year 2010 (I'm not gonna get below 2010 because I don't like the body). But all the features on this car just will be okay for me except the gas mileage. If BMW 328i has a reasonable and fair cost maintenance for me, maybe I'll stick with BMW 328i. one more thing, I'm a snowboarder that's why I need the BMW 328i split seat version.
  18. Hello, I'm Selling my 1982 BMW 633 csi. I've had it for a year and was going to try and make it into my project car but sadly time and money were not on my side and I didn't get it finished back to mint condition. I'm selling it as I will be moving this summer and can't bring a second car with me. I'm asking $3000.00 for it but all reasonable offers will be replied to. Please no trades for anything except currency. email me at simon_nuspel@hotmail.com or text me at 587-892-2782. car is in miles but has about 160000 km Thank you, -Simon
  19. Hello everyone, this is my first post. I was in the market for a car. I need some help deciding on what to get. So i wanted to ask people who has experienced the ride and is more knowledgeable about cars. I'm going to be as detailed as possible and lay down the situation so you guys could give me a better idea. I would also like it if you guys can contribute fair purchase prices and expense cost monthly. and would getting one over the other be worth it and why. The car is going to be used for commute for work. 40 - 60 miles a day. Whats important to me is (its in order, top to bottom) *most important - which is cheaper in the long run, i plan on keeping the car for 5 years. 1 - comfort 2 - relaibility/low maintenance cost 3 - fuel I have looked at 3 cars that I have in mind. Used 2009 BMW 328i coupe 30k-40k miles. from looking around it would cost me $20k-$25k, I dont care about the trims Used 2009 Infiniti G37 coupe 20k-40k miles. i think the same price as the BMW, i'm not sure. I dont care about the trims New 2013 Honda Accord coupe V6 Brand new. will run me exactally $31000 plus tax. Fully loaded. If you guys have any questions. please let me know. thank you. Your contributation and help is greatly apprecaited.
  20. Hello, Rich here from MotorTorque. We contacted a few people and asked about the BMW 3 Series Touring and quite a few of them seemed to just dismiss it on the basis that 'the 3 Series is just a saloon' - which is fair enough, but we thought we would review it anyway to give some of the cynics a better look at it. Anyway, here is our review of it. We would love some feedback on it And please let us know what you think of the car itself. Would you buy? If not, why? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ecb_LQLaB4w
