  1. Bottom draining waste oil is a little difficult than sucking from the oil dipstick tube. But it can empty out most of the waste oil. The M276 Engine requires 6.5 liters (6.9 quarts) oil. The bottom draining is the only way to fill 6.5 liters of new oil. Here is the video:
  2. 722.9 automatic transmission is very popular in Mercedes-Benz and served from 2006-2017. It has 7 forward gears and 2 reverse gears. Every 7 years/70,000 miles (made after 06-22-2010) or 4 years/40,000 miles (made before 06-22-2010) we have to change the automatic transmission fluid and filter of our Mercedes, that's requiring of Mercedes maintenance booklet. If your vehicle was equipped 722.9, that’s the most same process to change ATF and filter like this video, whatever made before or after 06-22-2010. For this vehicle (W212M276), the drain plug of the torque converter is difficult to operate, so I drill a hole on the shell to working easily. Something won’t happen on my W221M278. Another notice, if your vehicle made before 06-22-2010, the fluid is red and overflow plug is withe, otherwise the fluid is blue and the overflow plug is green. Just like other maintenance, change ATF is not a difficult job, just be patient. Good luck! Here is the detail: https://www.leighsr.com/atf-change-7229 and the video:
  3. Replacing spark plus is regular maintenance. There is a requirement every 60k miles or 6 years to replace the spark plugs in the MB maintenance booklet. To naturally aspirated engine of M276 DE35, there is a step to remove the resonance intake manifold to reach the ignition coil in the WIS. But that must replace a set of expensive intake plenum gasket with more labors. Removing the ECU may make more room to reach the concealed ignition coil and spark plugs. 4. Every 6 years or 60,000 miles we have to replace the spark plugs of our Mercedes, that's requiring of Mercedes maintenance booklet. So let's replace the spark plugs for my six years W350 (M276). In MB repair booklet, there is a step to remove intake manifold, in order to remove ignition coil easily. But that must replace the intake plenum gasket, that'd spend another a hundred bucks and more time. So follow my video, you might save that bucks and time to replace all of six spark plugs. 7. Hello, I'm here for awhile. I love Mercedes and DIY, so I record first video for DIY with Mercedes. Any comment are welcome. My Mercedes S550 (W221) ball joint boot was broken. That's located at the front lower rear control arm. It is necessary to replace the entire control arm according to the requirements of Mercedes-Benz, (If don't replace the boot may lead to wear the ball joint with long time). So they only sell the entire control arm. , the cost should be $300 for the genuine control arm, plus $100 for an alignment, amount costs should be $400 exclude labor. I found the damaged boot timely, so I decided to look for an alternative boot and replace it. The boot cost only $12 from Amazon: https://amzn.to/2sZkMYQ Here is the video
  8. I replaced front brake disks and pads 2 years ago, but recently I feel vibration while high speed and uneven brake power while low speed. So I decided to replace them again with different brand.
