Newdude
I have a Subaru 2015 xv cross trek that was bought reconstructed. The car runs pretty well with the only problem being that when I turn on my car the rpm goes to 2000. It slowly falls to around 800 but I’m worried this looks like a problem later on. I drove it with no problem for around 5000 miles. Edited January 25, 2021 by Newdude
gbs1952
Hey newdude, check your Throttle Position Sensor(TPS) over time they tend to drift ou of adjustment. Have you run the codes from your computer. If the TPS is failing you should get a code P2138. What you are describing sounds to me like a failing TPS. Happy New Year!! VREP
Hey.. what you are describing is completely normal when a car starts -- do you think the throttle position sensor could be adjusted to idle on a lower rev?
