Luis1
I wonder if someone could advice me on this. Last week I bought a 'new' Vauxhall Grandland 1.6 Hybrid. The dealer offered it cheaper because it was registered from September yet it only had 9 miles on the clock. I should have collected last weekend but the dealer told me they could not give it to me because there have been some recalls on the vehicle and the software had to be updated. However they spent the whole day trying and the update was not going through so the Vauxhall dealer could not do it and they would need to call a Vauxhall engineer to come down and do it. I don't know anything about cars and would appreciate advice from those who do on the next points: 1/ Is it normal that a brand new vehicle has recalls even before leaving the dealer? 2/ Is it normal that the vehicle cannot be repaired by the own brand's dealer? 3/ I am right to be suspicious about a vehicle which has been registered since September yet has not been sold and now it seems to be having problems 4/ Could I get my money back if requested within the first 14 days of the purchase? I need my car to go to work and my job does not allow me to take days off sort notice under the current situation (essential worker) Thank you in advance
