jaibunter
I am looking to buy my first manual car. I am stuck with deciding which car I should buy. I am thinking of getting one of these vehicles: • 7th generation Honda Accord euro • 8th generation Honda Accord Euro • 2nd generation Mazda 6 • 1st generation Mazda 3 • 2nd generation Mazda 3 • 2nd generation Kia Cerato I need a car that is: 1. Reliable 2. Cheap to maintain 3. Good on fuel 4. Good amount of power/speed These vehicles are around the same price range for me. Which would you recommend I buy? If you have any other recommendations that I haven't listed, please comment them.
Gust
I am not a fan of Mazda cars so I personally don't recommend any of these cars. If you want reliable car I would suggest Honda. Price wise Kia would be optimal choice.

TSandSfordmadras
As we found in the list we put together for Car Talk, it's still about $1,000 less expensive to purchase a manual transmission than it is an automatic, in most cases. deandean
What about Honda Accord? The Honda Accord is powered by similar 1.5-litre turbocharged VTEC unit found in the Honda Civic and Honda CR-V, but has been fine-tuned even further. It currently makes 201 PS with 260 Nm of torque mated to CVT-type transmission, sending all the power through the front wheels. Without a doubt, for those seeking outright performance should check out the all-new Accord, as it is the most powerful D-segment sedan in its class. Fuel consumption wise, Honda claims the Accord will do an impressive 6.3 litre/100 km in mixed driving condition, which is very, very fuel efficient for vehicle of this size. In terms of features, for the first time, the Accord comes with shoulder switch for the front passenger seat. Honda has always been ahead in terms of ergonomics, and the new Accord 2020 are no different. In terms of material cabin quality, it’s on par. Boot space is also Accord’s best forte in the segment, offering up to 570-litre of boot space, the biggest in its class with a wide and low aperture for easy loading. Like its predecessors, the Honda Accord comes with Honda Sensing ADAS suite (1.5 TC-P only), which includes a rather comprehensive list of features: Lane Departure Warning (LDW) Road Departure Mitigation (RDM) Lane Keep Assist (LKA) Forward Collision Warning (FCW) Collision Mitigation Braking System (CMBS) Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC) Low Speed Follow (LSF) Auto High Beam (AHB) It is also worth noting that both the 1.5 TC and 1.5 TC-P variants of the Accord include the Honda Lanewatch camera. Prices start from RM 185,900 for the 1.5 TC variant, before topping out at RM 195,900 for the Accord 1.5 TC-P variant. The extra price is worth every penny as the TC variant does not come with Honda Sensing features.
Teresaanna
Maybe you can consider 2020 Mazda 2. The 2020 Mazda 2 has an i-STOP / i-ELOOP engine automatic shutdown system, which helps to save fuel. In addition, it is also equipped with ABS anti-lock braking system, BA brake booster system, stability control DSC, emergency signal system ESS during emergency braking, anti-theft key system and other security systems to ensure your driving safety. The Skyactiv-G 4-cylinder 16-valve 1.3-liter gasoline engine has a maximum power of 93 hp at 5,800 r/min and a maximum torque of 123 Nm at 4,000 r/min.(Compared to other competitors, maybe its horsepower is not too good.) If you don't consider its top-level version, the price is not too expensive.
