Logant95 0 Report post Posted February 4, 2020 I have a 2011 ford fiesta SE sedan and I just bought and obd2 scanner to read the check engine light and I got a few different ones. It comes back with o2 and the cat. Im not sure if all 3 are bad or if I just replaced the o2 sensors it would fix everything? Any thoughts? All help is appreciated. This car has given me so many problems...
Nate4x4 30 Report post Posted February 4, 2020 I'm assuming it's the indication highlighted in red. That would be the issue. Obd readers have vehicle identification and I think there is a solving method for every detected error.
Logant95 0 Report post Posted February 4, 2020 So if I change the bad o2 sensor and clean the codes should the engine light stay off? No matter how many times I clear I always get these codes.
Nate4x4 30 Report post Posted February 5, 2020 You mentioned that the error indications included the o2 and cat. It may be both. Obviously there is a problem with both. The severity however would have to be determined by a professional. Once both issues are addressed, the code won't show in red anymore. I would recommend working on the older part. It may just need to be replaced.
