Do I need an adapter for these lights?

I'm trying to convert the headlights on my 2004 Buick Century from halogen to LED. I bought a conversion kit, and the lamps don't fit. When we take off the headlight assembly and try to install the new bulbs they won't go into the space where the bulb goes. They're just too big around. When I look at the lamps that are currently in there, the sockets are like an L-shape; kind of like an inhaler. Everything that I look at online looks the same as the kit that I bought. The paperwork in the Box said some cars may need an adapter and that I could get them from this company. Unfortunately when I try to reach the manufacturer, which is Sealight, the only way to reach them is by email. When emailing directly from their site, they don't answer. Trying to email them directly results in a failure notice. I'm going to return the kit to Amazon. That's not an issue. But I do want to convert my headlights, and I want to make sure I don't have to go through this again with the wrong kit. Can anybody help me? Do I need some sort of an adapter? If so, where do I get this adapter?  This is a link to the kit that I purchased on Amazon https://smile.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B071XV8PZQ?psc=1&ref=yo_pop_mb_yo_pop_mb_pd_t2
