Chevrolet Equinox vs Other SUVs

I've been wanting a Chevrolet Equinox for a long time now. But I've been shopping around online and getting prices and everything for Equinox vs other SUVs. I looked at the Chevrolet Trax, but it just seems a little compact and basic.

 

Is there a great SUV on the market that's reasonably priced (preferably in the $25,000 range) that would have great MPG and be a good size.

If you are willing to go for eight seats, Honda Pilot and Toyota Highlander provide ample space and rock solid reliability in that price range. Also consider Chevy Traverse, if you want that Chevrolet craftsmanship found in the Equinox.
