I have a 2002 Pontiac Aztek. I am having to do the relearn process. I was wanting to know if you can reprogram the passkey 3 key not the key fob but the actual key. It was already programmed before but I want to know if I can REprogram it.

I am not sure what you mean by "passkey 3 key" but only a GM dealership has the software needed to reprogram transponders or sometimes licensed locksmith's can do it too.

I hope this is still relevant but if not this info can help your knowledge.

GM PK3(PassKey 3) can be reprogram without a programming machine. it is a procedure that takes about 30 minutes.

you can program an old key and new virgin key with that procedure. its called On-Board Programing.

Definitely, a locksmith doesn't have that software so it's better to get it from the dealer.
