cgnlucas 0 Report post Posted October 2, 2015 Both brake lights on my KIA Sportage 2006 function normally when the car lights (headlights etc) are switched off. When the car's lights are switched on, the right brake light completely stops working, whilst the left one behaves normally and becomes brighter. How do I fix this? Thank you! Cliffy 0 Report post Posted October 12, 2015 Could be an earthing problem. Usually a relatively simple fix for an auto electrician. Might find you need to replace one of the rear light clusters, but either way, not a massively expensive job. The cluster you'd be able to do yourself.
