iulian2001
I own a Seat ibiza from 2012. I am the 2nd owner. Today I changed the car battery, after that I was asked for an unlock code for the radio. Has this happened to anyone else? Thank you in advance
AlexaP
That's what happened to my oktavia II radio. The radio went into protection. You have 3 options to solve the problem: Search on google sites that offer unlock codes, example: autoradiocodes.com Ebay : https://www.ebay.com/sch/i.html?_from=R40&_trksid=p2380057.m570.l1313&_nkw=seat+radio+code&_sacat=0 Go to a Seat dealership and they should be able to fix the problem. I personally bought it from the internet because it was faster. Hope I was helpful Edited August 22 by AlexaP
cocarbaro
Yes, what you're experiencing is not uncommon when you replace the car battery in certain vehicles, including the Seat Ibiza. Many modern cars have a security feature that requires a radio unlock code or a radio reset procedure to be performed after the battery is disconnected or replaced. This is a theft deterrent feature to discourage theft of the car's audio system. To get the radio unlock code for your Seat Ibiza, you can try https://radiocodehelp.com/get-seat-radio-code-now
