Elite_Deforce
Sweet So long as it is offered with a proper transmission... There are only putting a 11-speed megatron XJ-C432-triple-manual-sequential-double-turbo......manual transmission in it.
Isaac
Wow, 412hp and 25 mpg highway. That's insane.
Elite_Deforce
Wow, 412hp and 25 mpg highway. That's insane. Well that's Ford's claim, but Im sure hypermiling can fix any anomalies.

2007DBR9
Doubtful. It would sell really well if they priced it to compete with the Golf GTI, Focus RS etc.
Elite_Deforce
It would sell really well if they priced it to compete with the Golf GTI, Focus RS etc. Lol, why would the price it to compete with those?
2007DBR9
Lol, why would the price it to compete with those? Because cars cost a fortune here - and if they offered it around the £20k mark it would sell in massive numbers because that is considered very cheap for a car of that performance. I'm confused, how would that proportionally make sense?
2007DBR9
I'm confused, how would that proportionally make sense? Mustang is faster than hot hatches Hot hatches cost around £20k Mustang is dirt cheap in the States Offer it around £20k and it will tempt hot hatch buyers away. Ford make a lot of money, we get a brilliant car for cheap. Everyone wins. Besides the hot hatches.

Was talking with a guy that does engine software development with the majors, and he was relating that Ford's already seen 475-480 crank hp reliably with just a tune on the 5.0 running 93 octane. The stock headers, while excellent, are still restrictive. He says this motor needs 1 3/4" primaries and aftermarket 300cpi high flow cats or off-road mids vs an OEM 500-600cpi met. cat. to see major gains. The potential is there for 500 N/A crank hp without getting inside the engine...
