geraldsmith 0 Report post Posted March 20, 2017 Hello, I have a 2003 Toyota Corolla and the other day I went to start my car and it appeared as if the battery died so I went to the store and bought a new one and installed it and it still wouldn't start. After hours of trying different things, I discovered that if the red positive terminal is plugged in by itself, then the car turns on fine, but if the black negative terminal is also attached to the battery, then they car won't turn on at all. Can anyone here please explain why this is happening? Please help! Thanks. About me: I am new to this forum.I am a consultant and have worked in multiple firms. Copedipper96 0 Report post Posted March 20, 2017 It sounds as though possibly the alternator could be bad or a cut in a line somewhere that could be preventing it from starting, that's would be my guess.
