I got a 2006 Hyundai Sonata GL with standard steel wheels. They're 16" by 6.5" and what I want to know is would I be able to put new 16" rims on and keep my current tires. The rims I'm looking at are 16x7. Would putting my current tires on these rims fit?

Thanks

Yes, the half inch difference in width won't affect anything. You can still use your old tires.

It's only a problem if there is less wheel than tire.

Based on your current situation, I think that you should buy new sets of tires to fit in your 16" rims...

Why should he buy new tires, when his current tires will fit the rims he is looking at?
