Hi folks,

After nearly 6 years in a 1998 Subaru Legacy, its almost time to change.....almost


Theres just one thing keeping me for getting that almost orgasmic feeling of bringing a new car home, parking it on the drive and watching as the neighbours peer out through the Venetian blinds at it, and that one thing is......choosing!!

Some days I want a sensible, 4 door saloon that can achieve over 20MPG, and other days I want to buy a big V8 gas-guzzling coupé.

Unfortunately, I can't have a V8or a coupé

Fortunately, I have about €10,000 ($12,000) to play with.

So, I was thinking something like an Audi A6 but my girlfriend likes the look of an e60 5 series.

So guys, Audi A6 2.4 or BMW E60 2.5?

What should I look out for on either car? Anyone had any experience with either?

I would also appreciate suggestions of other cars, just 5 series and A6 are all we've talked about at the moment.
