hi can any one give me a second opion turbo went on van garage put replacement one in still did not work properly on further inspection they noticed there was no oil pressure which the turbo needs to work they then said i needed a new engine is this right the engine it self runs lovely and not one little bit of noise can any one advise if the garage is correct on saying i need new engine thanks mial

It depends on where the oil pressure sensor sits in relation to the filter, and in this assumption its ahead of the filter, it's possible that all of the "particles" plugged the filter to a point where the bypass valve opened up, allowing a free flow of oil with no resistance form the filter. If its not get a technician assist to replace the fuel pump.

Ok, youre talking about the oil filter, then say you need to replace the fuel pump? Where did that come from. if the engine is running fine, then the fuel pump is just fine. Did you mean the oil pump?

besides, I'm sure that the person in the OP got it figured out already as it's been months since they posted...
