my grandad got a 2004 Vectra 2.0DTI and it keeps going into "Limp Home Mode" and what the cars doing is sometimes you can turn it over and it will rev to full revs (bout 7000-RPM) but theres loads of black crap but then it goes into "Limp Home Mode" and through the gears or neutral it stays revving like 2800-RPM and I've had a listen to it and i can't hear any weird noises like air leaking or anything, but i have read this up and it is a common fault on many vauxhall's e.g. the new zafira, new corsa, combi vans etc (petrol and diesel) and that theres many causes fuel pressure regualtor, fuel pump, turbo lagg, carbon monoxide in the cat building up etc and i was just wondering is there a way of specifying the problem without spending money ?
Many Thanks Cam
