Keep in mind that your kids will have this name for his or her whole life, and is also your first gift to your child, so make it something special.

1. Consider personal history and tradition. Your family could have specific naming traditions you would like to continue.

2. Write lists of names you love, people you would like to respect, names that have specific meanings, etc.

3. Be Aware of Gender Affiliations. In these present times, names are often not exclusively male or female.
