Maybach is being axed officially tomorrow. In its replacement, the S-class is going to get more ridiculous versions.

Thoughts?

Very interesting, I didn't think they sold that many especially when Rolls Royce and Bentley offer much better alternatives.

How could we get a more outrageous S class than the S65 AMG? That is one hell of a machine as it is.

I can see the S600 getting a longer wheelbase and lots of fancy options and the sporty side of things being kept for the AMG models.

This will serve as bad news for future rap stars and boxing champs!

No matter. I never cared that the Maybach existed in the first place so there is no pain in seeing it go away. :D

The problem with the Maybach was that it didn't stand out from a regular Mercedes, and actually LOOKED older than the top Mercedes S classes. The Exelero was the only Maybach that stood out. The sedans should have borrowed from the Exelero's styling to look the part. Probably would have sold better.

Im not too fond of the wheels, I like the side exhausts though!
The Exelero looked more like what Maybach used to make in the 30's than what the stretch S Class did.
