I'm reminded of a TG episode where Jeremy drives an Aston and comments that he feels/fears that with everyone going green, high performance cars will become obsolete.

I find this car an intelligent solution for city driving. But then again when I start to think where electricity comes from..its like consuming oil indirectly.

Yeah, when you think about what goes into making one of these 'green' cars and how to power them, it really doesn't add up.

Seems kinda pointless considering that the electricity has to come from somewhere, which is normally a source powered by fossil fuels.

Then factor in all the energy required to make the car in the first place.

I read somewhere that if you bought and ran a 1960's American car as your main car for 40 years you would not use as much energy as is needed just to make a modern car!

Just because an electric motor gets 100% tq at 0 rpm doesn't really mean anything, It could still be the shitiest car you ever bought.

I read on Yahoo a few days back about Obama's new legislation about stricter emission guidelines on new vehicles.

I guess the new Nissan LEAF fits the bill perfectly under these new guidelines.

I'm not surprised, it's enevitable. California will get hit the hardest since back in the 80's in LA you couldn't see the house across the street for you with all the smog that lingered around.

Smog is bad here too, what with all the jeepneys and buses plying around the metro. You'd be a fool If you would drive around town with your windows open.

And suddenly the proposition of an electric car makes sense..but electricity is expensive here too so..

Hey, have you guys ever heard of the inventor who ran his car on pure water? It's not a hoax, im telling you. I'll do some research on this topic in my spare time.

But imagine owning a car that ran on pure H2O.

Roadtrip, anyone?

LOL but imagine the convenience and the money we would save if we only use water to fuel our passion wagons.
