- Which are? Over here most people have a Mondeo or whatever, and the next logical step is something like a 320d
- Plain yes, but bad? They are good quality, but since they are all the same you could probably call them boring. I don't think there is anything wrong with them though.
- Ahh see that would mean you would be spending considerably more. The smaller engine models have the higherst market share, especially the diesels. No one buys the high end ones, so no one would be comparing it to the more expensive Porsche in the first place.
-
-Most Volvos (C1 platform) and I forget what else, and the Buick Regal is based on the Insignia heavily, but like I say, screw GM.
-Whenever someone mentions the 5-series I always level my hand and start shaking to either side because I really can't say that it's full of shit, but I just can't be bothered to think of why it's any good as well. Absolutely nothing is stopping me from getting an MKZ, M35, S80, or even the A6 for that matter.
-No, the 7 starts at 80 grand here and the Panamera 89 (these are US prices). I would assume that in that price range, 9 grand makes little difference for an immensely better car.

- Do many people buy them?

- Well on a better note, I read an article today saying that the new E Class is better than the up coming 5

- I wouldn't be so sure to go down that road - see a lot of the customers buying a car like that will buy it through a monthly payment deal, or have it as a company car. 9 grand makes a hell of a lot of difference when you are looking at the base models. Chances are you can't afford a higher end model, so you won't be able to take finance on a car that is 9 grand more.

-No, lol.
-It's not, I assure you. Then again, the new 5 isn't out yet.
-Think of it this way: I'd rather the Panamera if it was 20 grand more. Does that settle this? lol

Panamera over the 7 series? Hell yeah!

Im not a fan of the Panamera saloon but if it boils down to choosing between it and the 7 series then the Porsche is my choice.

I dont mean to be rude but the Bangle designs (no matter what the paid hacks say) never grew on me.

S class diesel, anyone? ;)

Only if it was the previous A8, the new one looks like a stretched A4
I do like Mercedes though!

Fair point, but then the S Class has always been a stretched C Class and no one seemed to care.
