Do we like it ? I don't know. It looks ok but not that great if you know what I'm saying. For a SUV its ok. Right! Engines! It comes with a 2.7 or 3.3 V6 and a nice relaxing 2.2 I4 Diesel! Now now folks I can hear you retching at the thought of a diesel but this ones good! As good as diesels get anyway! Its quiet and actually pretty fast. Now the biggest thing everyone should know about with the new Santa Fe is that it has more torque than a 911! 911 or Santa Fe ? SANTA FE! Although it's not the best SUV its better than the 911. I find the 911 horribly ugly! Not as ugly as the Santa Fe's sister though! I think we all know what I'm talking about here! This may be the first good generation of the Santa Fe! We can only wait and see what the next gen will be like! Lets hope it takes after this one! Maybe a 4.0 Petrol Turbo or would that be too much to ask from Hyundai? Thank god for the bible! It's the only way I can keep up with the upcoming cars! Heres a pic of the new Santa Fe!

With a diesel engine that car is supposed to be pretty good. All Korean petrol engines are crap anyway.

I think it is a decent enough family car, can't really see a problem with it.

Hmm..the Sante Fe is sold here and the phenomenal diesel with VGT (variable geometry turbo) is a fantastic engine. In fact, all Hyundai diesels are thrifty and very powerful. Local car mag quotes the Santa Fe diesel at 37kms/liter highway (the torque is just fantastic!)

It comes as a surprise that Hyundai actually makes better cars than Toyota, specially the diesels. I was expecting Toyota to be the first to use state of the art diesel tech in their cars. And Hyundai manages to sell their cars cheaper than the competition.

Reliability? Hyundai is one of the best. And they're definitely not boring.

Why?

They make good diesel engines, and the newer models are much better than the old ones.

LOL! But hey, cant blame you for not liking Hyundai coz YOU GUYS DONT GET DIESELS!

Not too long ago, diesel cars were considered dirty, smoky, smogy and noisy but with the advent of CRDI/TDI (bimmer 320d, for example) I was totally in awe how diesel performance has evolved!

And all the excitement of having 400Nm of torque in a thrifty car is bewildering. And to think Hyundai (a brand that almost everybody sort of resents/has bias) made it better by adding VGT.

You have to try it to be convinced. Hyundai diesels are amazing, no matter what model.

Beat that, Toyota (and Lexus too, with the so overpriced and stupid RX350.)

The new BMW 320d is an amazing car - 174 bhp, 258 lb-ft, 0-60 in 7.6 seconds, and 59 mpg on the COMBINED cycle!

Who needs a hybrid?

Thats nuts, and BMW will never bring it to North America as it will hurt their "Luxury Image".
