Ok so when i first got my license i was driving my dads old 2000 chrylser cirrus which was an automatic boring plain car. But recently my sister wrecked that one and with her moving out 2 weeks ago my mom decided to help me buy my first car. She gave me a >10k limit so a new car was out the window. So after my search i found a manual 2007 Hyundai Elantra for a little over 9k flat with only 20k miles on it. Clearly i couldnt let the offer pass me up. Now before i bought the car i wasnt really into cars but recently after driving stick for the first time i really enjoy it. and its gotten me into cars and stuff. so i got a couple questions for you


First off im 17 and am working off of 8.60 an hour monthly income is around 1100

I understand the Elantra isnt a "sporty" car but compared to a camry it has potential. its a compact 4 door car. Mine is black if that does anything for you. Got a good picture at bottom same car just in black

if i wanted to add things to improve the value of my car what is the first time.

Obvious things i have in mind.

Stereo system (if you want to recommend one feel free)
Add a Spoiler (not sure if it would look good on an elantra)
Wheel improvements (spinners are over exaggeration im thinking maybe some chrome rims or somthin. again im new to this pls dont poke fun if i sound like an idiot.)
Underbody Neon's (i really think there cool but i could be mistaken.
Turbo charge (i hear in increases fuel efficiency and power too things that dont go together but yeah need your guys inputs.
Custom shifter and Pedals.


any way what how would your rank what i should do with this car.

And where do you have to live for minimum wage to still be 8.60?

Second of all u had gotta be a complete idiot to think a Camry looks sportier than the elantra.

third its not ment to stay stock ive seen other custom elantras that look very nice.

Fourth the Hyundai that are ment to stay stock are the sonnotas and the accents.

Fifth of all im never coming back to this site because i asked kindly for you fucks to be nice about telling me whats what and u little faggot come in here and are all rude to me well sir FUCK you.

dude take a fucking chill pill, Dont rice out your elantra though. All that'll get you is some funny looks. look into a more reliable car. I suggest a 2000-2001 BMW 3series for you price range, the only downside of it is that its not gona get anywhere near as good of gas mileage, though itll have more HP it looks way better and its more reliable. just for the love of god dont put neon on your car

P.S. if your set on the elantra get a carfax and an independent check done on it, though it looks like its in good shape from the pic, oh and test drive it! If you dont like it during the test drive you wont like it a year later

Allready bought it. its a great car and heres a link to a site where u can see custom elantras dont look as funny as u may think. look under the members mods lists.

You make 1100 a month. You drive an Elantra. Given the starting platform and your economic income, you should keep the car stock. I'd change the radio and maybe the speakers. Don't get too extreme.

If you start modifying your car, you are asking for someone to vandalize it, break into it, or for it to break down. There will be plenty of opportunities in the future for you to purchase a sportier ride that will serve your modifying desires.
