 what can cause my egr valve to go faulty??? |

[font="Comic Sans MS"][/font][size="5"][/size]I have recently replaced the egr valve on my car with a secondhand hand one now a month later i am getting the same problem the diasnostics is showing faulty egr valve again what cause the egr valve to go wrong any ideas ???? mikey

What do you mean it's a secondhand EGR? You went to the junkyard? Usually they clog up with carbon and the valve sticks.

Some things you just have to buy new, and this is one. Since we don't have Vauxhall's over here I don't know what a new one would cost but it would be well worth your time to check into it. If they are expensive, it has been said that you can clean them with thottle body cleaner and a tooth bush and a pick of some sort. -------------------- I'm putting speed bumps on a handicap ramp |
